the sales guys understand. i am sure the developers will understand and the solution would be really so easy... just copy the dhcp-leases into the dnscache

the problem ist, that the non-ki-support engineers dont understand.... they dont use their product themselfes and thus dont see the need and thus try just to handle the problem-customers... instead of customers problems.

i would really appreciate if all would try to contact their local sales rep and talk to them.

there has been an update by the way... but its only the manual dns-solution - sort of.
because they made available an update, with the feature in the notes, but i cannot find the option in the config

This feature should be available in all business/enterprise routers.

@Clive_A Can you share what the status on this is? Is this basic feature *still* missing? Do I need to setup a pihole or coredns somewhere in my network and let it handle DNS? How crazy is this for a SDN solution?

OK, nevermind. After going through a lot of firmware updates on the controller, I'm now on:

* ER707-M2 v1.0: 1.3.1

* OC200 v1.0: 1.37.11 with the 6.0.0.36 UI Version.

I can now find the LAN DNS option described here and that finally works for me creating a local DNS resolve: https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/faq/4504/#Requirements
