Model: TL-WR902AC
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: TBA

I am considering purchasing a TL-WR902AC to connect a USB drive to it and configure it as an Ftp server. I envisage connecting the WR902AC to an internet-connected router using an ethernet cable and will not require its wifi capabilites. How should I configure it so that it only connects to the internet router (BT Hub 2 - Full Fibre) using the ethernet port and to configure the usb drive attached to the WR902AC for Ftp access? I will not need either the Router-to-WR902AC wireless connection or the wifi extender functionality. Please advise if this possible and how I should configure the WR902Ac to achieve my aim, thank you.

WR902AC-to-Intenet Router wireless link is possible in a Range Extender Mode but your inquiry was for an ethernet cable connection - that's AP mode.

You could configure the WR902AC in AP mode and use its USB Sever in your LAN. Disable its wireless radio if it's not needed.

I assume that there is no WR902AC-to-Intenet Router wireless link in AP mode then?

If that is so, that sounds like the exact configuration I am looking for provided I can turn off both of the connections.

Thank you, you're a star!
