  @Vincent-TP

Dear TP-Link Team,

I’ve noticed a couple of issues in the Clients > IPCs/NVRs tab:

  • NVR not showing: While my IP cameras are correctly listed, my TP-Link VIGI NVR2016H is not showing up at all, even though it's online and functioning properly on the network.

  • MikroTik router misclassified: My MikroTik RB750G3 router appears under the IPCs/NVRs section, which seems to be a misclassification.

Could you please check if this is a classification issue or suggest a recommended fix?

Here’s a screenshot for reference.

Hi  @Babun-Sikder

My first thought was that the MikroTik router shown in this interface is actually the NVR2016H, but it was incorrectly labeled as this router.

To confirm whether this is the case, please check the following:

1. What's the IP address of the NVR2016H?

2. What's the LAN IP address of the MikroTik router?

3. Which device is exactly plugged into the port BS-SW2 port6?

BTW, did you try refresh the interface?

Doesnt that need the corresponding switch firmware update though for the controller to properly be able to get the device classifications?

For example, in the latest ES switch series firmware it specifically lists IPC traffic identification as a new feature, which is not present in any of the SG series firmware yet

ES firmware changelog

Latest SG series changelog doesnt list anything like this

Main: ER8411 x1, SG3428X x1, SG3452 x1, SG2428LP x1, SG3210 x1, SG2218P x1, SG2008P x3, ES208G x1, EAP650 x6 Remote: ER7206 v2 x1, ER605 v2 x3, SG2008P x2, EAP650 x2, ES205G x1 Controller: OC300

  @Vincent-TP

Thanks for your quick response!

Here are the details you requested:

  1. IP address of NVR2016H: 192.168.30.99

  2. LAN IP address of MikroTik router (RB750G3): 192.168.30.9

  3. BS-SW2 Port 6 is connected to the MikroTik router, not the NVR.

So the devices seem to be correctly labeled and not swapped.

I also refreshed the interface, but the NVR still doesn’t appear in the IPCs/NVRs section — only the IP cameras and the MikroTik router show up.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can check or share.

Hi  @Babun-Sikder

What's the model number and the firmware version of the switch you are using?

I believe what GRL said is the case, this feature requires the connected switch to update to the adaptive firmware.

I noticed in the Global View Firmware section.  When a new firmware drops, I could goto one-time upgrade and it will show you which site has that particular device.

Now it shows all the sites.  Can we go back to where it gives the site/sites that have that device?

Thanks,

KG!

11) Added support for one-click site migration between different Customers in MSP mode in MSP View > Site > Migrate Site.

I cant find MSP in this version. Does this support? if yes, where is it?

I've testing out the site template.  It would be nice if there was a rolling LAN Subnet range for every template.

If I make the 1st template 172.21.1.1 and it can roll through 172.21.2.1 - 172.21.100.1 for the next sites.

This could be a feature you can toggle on/off.

Thanks,

KG!
