5GHz Channel Compatibility Issue – RE450 v4 Purchased in Saudi Arabia, Used in Pakistan

Hi TP-Link Community,
I recently purchased a TP-Link RE450 (Hardware Version: v4) from Jarir Bookstore in Saudi Arabia. I’m now using the extender in Pakistan and facing an issue with the 5GHz Wi-Fi network.
The problem is that the extender only allows me to select 5GHz channels in the range of 36 to 144. However, my phone — a POCO X6 Pro (bought in Pakistan) — only detects 5GHz networks on channels 149 to 165, and cannot see the extender's 5GHz network when it's set to lower channels.
I'm looking for a solution to make the RE450 broadcast on the higher 5GHz channels (149–165) that are supported by my device in Pakistan.
My questions:
-
Is there any way to unlock or enable the higher 5GHz channels on the RE450 v4?
-
Would flashing firmware from the TP-Link Pakistan website (e.g., the 2019 firmware for RE450 v3) help with this issue?
-
Is there a region-specific firmware for Pakistan that supports these higher channels for RE450 v4?
I’d appreciate any guidance or official input on how to best resolve this without risking hardware damage or violating firmware rules.
Thank you!
