Advice needed please!

getting WiFi in garden office.

An EX820v / AX6000 router was provided by BRSK and I have my own wifi 6 range extender (TP link AX1500 / RE505X) to provide wifi in garden office. The range extender is connected to the router via ethernet cable and I intend to use it to provide wifi in for wireless devices and phone (as mobile signal not great there).

On initial install the range extender worked in garden to give WiFi in the office but significantly reduced signal from all other users in the house (down to very low).

Are these two devices compatible? And if so what needs to be configured to maintain signal in the main house?

Any help greatly appreciated! .

Hi@Collieflower,

Thank you for contacting our community.

Could you provide the test results of the signal source?

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

EX820vRE505X AP mode )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Is there a switch between EX820v and RE505X? Remove the switch for a comparison.

If you encounter an error, take a screenshot with the error message.

Please change the RE505X back to range extender mode to see, will the issue disappear?

Can all clients on the RE505X access internet normally?

Please adjust the placement of RE505X to avoid interference from Bluetooth devices, microwave ovens, wireless cameras, etc. on the 2.4 GHz band.

Best Regards~
