Model: Archer BE9300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi

my router Access Control does not appear to be working.

I have activated access control and added various devices to my Allow list.

As a test I then tried to connect a new device that was not connected and not on the 'Allow' list, and was able to do this without any trouble by just inputting the network password.  The only other point of note is that it has been connected previously, but not since I reset the router and changed password.

Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong?

Hello  @Anonymous_Bosch ,

Welcome to our community.

Could I confirm if the model is Archer BE550?

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—router )))((( extender/ AP )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

If other devices have never been connected to the router's network, please try connecting to the router's Wi-Fi and compare whether the same issue occurs.

After resetting the router, does the SSID remain unchanged, and did you only change the WiFi password?
Please confirm whether you are connected to the network on the extender. Or, please check whether you are connected to the guest network or the IoT network? These networks are not restricted by access control.
