Hi all,

I had problem configuring WireGuard client on my Android 15 Pixel phone to use my internal DNS on my LAN. No problems on my Windows laptop.

After long research I've found small notice somewhere deep on some forum - tried and it works!

In the field allowed IP you have to add additionally (to the usual 0.0.0.0/0) the subnet where the DNS servers are located too.

Hi @Clive_A,

yes, you're right, 0.0.0.0/0 should include all - but it wasn't working some time ago.

now I've tried it again and it works as expected. apparently has WireGuard corrected the bug.

found the original forum post - is in german language.

  @ZoloNN
It's not necessary.

0.0.0.0/0 already includes that subnet.

Hi @Clive_A,

WireGuard clients are quite strange............

Today I have configured my notebook for WireGuard - and I had again to explicitly add my local network range(s) additionally to configuration (except the usual 0.0.0.0/0) as I wasn't able to reach any internal adresses on the site.

And there was no problem reaching adresses on internet and/or addresses on other site (connected via SD-WAN) - only local ones.........

I'm using the latest WireGuard Windows client, version 0.5.3
