Model: OC200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

My site uses an outdated software controller that I planned to change with an up-to-date OC200.

Unfortunately when I try to import controller settings backup into OC200 using WebUI on OC200 IP address it indicates that the backup is incorrect.

I already migrate the controller to a similar software controller without any issue.

Thus, I suppose that we cannot migrate from v3 to v5 but have to have an intermediate step with v4 controller (I saw in the guides that migration from controller v3.1.4+ to v4.1.5 is possible.

My concern is that I don't have any v4 installer and they are no more available on TP-Link or Omada support section...

Can you please indicate how to do this migration ?

And if this requires legacy version of software controller can you please provide the installer or indicate where to find it ?

Thanks

Hi  @vbo

For your situation, you need to update the software controller to the latest 5.15.24.18 first.

Since your current version is too old and involves multiple version jumps, we recommend upgrading step-by-step through the following version:

1. 4.2.8 >>> 4.4.6

2. 4.4.6>>> 5.0.30

3. 5.0.30>>>5.15.24.18

Note:

To prevent configuration loss, ensure you export the controller's config file from the old version before each upgrade.

’After upgrading to the new version, import the old config file into the new system.

Any issue occured when updating, don't hesitate to let us know.

After the firmware update, you will be able to migrate the OC200 to the software controller:
