Firmware Version:

MBG ; Hello everyone,

I’d like to share an experience with the TP-Link TL-SG116P switch that may be useful to other users.

🔧 Context:
- Fiber optic connection
- Home usage (streaming, remote work, etc.)
- TL-SG116P switch used to distribute the network

❗ Issue:
With **priority mode enabled**, I noticed a **drastic drop in bandwidth** — around 9 Mbps, despite having a high-speed fiber connection.

✅ Solution:
After **disabling priority mode**, full speed was restored. This suggests that the switch’s hardware QoS may **throttle traffic** in certain setups, even without visible congestion.

💡 Suggestion:
It would be helpful if TP-Link could **better document the effects of priority mode**, especially for home environments where this behavior can be counterproductive.

Thanks to the community and TP-Link for listening. If others have seen similar behavior, feel free to share your feedback!

  @MBG

This model does not support config. So I assume that the config you mentioned is all coming from the router?
