Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.1.5 Build 20240313 Rel. 33928

Hi I recently installed a EAP225 to replace my old EAP110 V1, with this hope that I could improve quality and performance into a open garden area with wireless cameras. Unfortunately the experience has been disappointing, with poor signal coverage and some of the existing cameras not holding a network connection.

The wired system is all CAT6, one camera will only connect at 2.4 and not 5, which is seriously affecting the video streaming. The camera is approximately 4 meters from the EAP225.

The overall network route is EAP225 Tto megabit switch to Router.

Any ideas please.

Dave

Hi  @5tonelynk

4 meters is not a problem for EAP225-outdoor.

Please try the following:

1. Create a 2.4G only SSID and connecet the camera to it;

2. Change different channel;

How to optimize wireless performance of EAP products

3. Try avoid the obstacles and interference between the EAP and the camera;
