I am remotely bringing up this site and while changing the EAP's to static IP accidentally typed it in wrong. So instead of192.168.100.xx I set it to 102.168.100.xx.

now I can't adopt it but I do see it in the device list. I tried to forget it and it "forgot" it from the controller but failed to reset it to defaults.

now I no longer see the option to "forget" it again.

i have tried power cycling it using the PoE reset but I cannot adopt it as the adoption fails every time.

i tried to recover by creating a new Vlan with the 102.168.100.1/26 but I still can't adopt it.

i don't have physical access to the device as it is a remote site.

the Controller is an ER7212PC

any advise?

I was able to recover it byt temporarily changing the DHCP range to 102.168.100.xx and the accessing the AP to change it s static IP to the correct one.

FYI, I have tried it using both the site username/password and the default admin/admin. It fails in both instances.

Hi  @Saraiks

When the private network cannot locate the public IP address 102.x.x.x, the request will be forwarded to the external network.

Temporarily changing the router's DHCP pool is indeed a good solution. Thank you for sharing this.
