I have a TL-SF1008P PoE switch and its original power supply is lost. It is rated for 48V 1.25A power supply. I have with me 53.5V 1.3A power supply from Tp-link. I want to know if I can use this power supply safely with this switch? I know its voltage is rated higher than the switch but I am hoping that the step down circuit inside it is capable of handling the same. If not , I would rather go and buy a 48V one.

Thanks

Vijay

Theoretically, it would not pose any problem to the device. Yet, we are not responsible for any action or damage caused if the product is not used with the proper adapter.

For the sake of safety and power compliance, we always recommend you use the original power adapter. If it is lost, contact your local support team to see if it is possible to get Part RMA.

Or buy a different one with the same diameters in the coaxial cable and the power specs.
