Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5.1.6 Build 20240313 rel. 43415

Hello,

I'm having issues with the signal strength due to the high density forest. Average signal I got form EAP650 to EAP225 is -90 dBm and I wonder if I could buy bigger or different shaped antennas so I could fix the problem.

What do you think about this:

Hi  @Walt_White

Thanks for posting here.

I can't see this part from the pictures, in the link:

To work with third party antenna, we need to make sure the connectors match with each other:

Introduction for TP-Link Outdoor Antennas

Please note that we don't guarantee the compatibility with any third-party antenna.

  @Vincent-TP

I just understood that after I clicked "publish".

The seller says it's a RP-SMA, I'll confirm it.

Does TP-link offers some spare antennas to rise the wifi range?

Is it allowed on this forum to recommend third party antennas? Maybe you know other brand? Or what exact type of antenna I should look for?

Hi  @Walt_White

TP-Link hasn't sold antennas for a long time.

We recommend using the included antennas. Furthermore, we don't have a compatibility list for third-party antennas that are compatible with the EAP225-outdoor.

We encourage everyone to share tested and verified antenna models compatible with EAP225-outdoor in our community. wink

It is very hard to choose from. On one end I find all o the cheap antennas like below:

Or those expensive premium ones:

Can't tell which one is the best way.
