Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.36.7 Build 20250707 Rel.72474

I have the following Omada network with multiple vlans and wifi SSID set up all works fine.

ER605 OC200 v1

TL-SG108PE switch

TL-SG108PE switch

EAP 245 AP

All have the latest stable firmware.

The issue I am having is on a power reboot quite frequently some of the SSID are missing the ones with portal authentication .

I understand that the portal authorization comes from the 0c200.

So I believe the issue could be that the OC200 which is powered by PoE from the 108PE switch ,the EAP 245 is also connected to via PoE so the EAP 245 is booting before the oc200.

I’m thinking of changing the set up so the oc200 has its own PSU if I do this what would be the best power up sequence be ?

Is this the best would be ER605, OC200, (TL-SG108PE c/w EAP 245), TL-SG108PE

Hi  @corkscrew22

Thanks for posting here.

Apologies if I didn't fully grasp your question.

If you're powering the OC200 with a PSU (power supply unit), it generally shouldn't experience power loss, which should prevent this issue.

Here's what to do:
1. Power the OC200 using the PSU
2. Connect the OC200 to a non-PoE Ethernet port
3. Keep all other connections as normal

If I've misunderstood anything, please let me know!

  Hi @Vincent-TP

thanks for your reply

Sorry my post was not too clear. To clarify

The OC200 and the EAP 245 both currently get their power from the TL-SG108PoE switch with cat6 ethernet cable.

If the network gets reset by powering all the devices off and then power back on I think the EAP 245 is booting up before the OC200 which is causing issues for SSID with portal authorization.

So the question is would it be better to put the OC200 on its own PSU ?

And would the following be the best boot order using power switches ?

ER605

OC200

TL-SG108PoE switch / EAP245

108PE switch

Technically, this shouldn't be an issue. The portal configuration deployment shouldn't take too long. Approximately how long are you experiencing delays on your end?
