Model: EAP211-Bridge KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: NA

EAP-211 Bridge Kit - installed for 6 months working well.

Suddenly stopped working, now one unit only has power light.
3 Signal lights luminate for around 10 seconds then go out & no connection.
Have tried different cables, different POE, reset - no change.

Have tried installing right next to the other receiveing unit. No change.

The other unit has all 3 signal lights lit up constantly.

Defective? Have not had much success with TP-Link Omada products and less than 1 year in...

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hi  @PLOTH

Well, it appears so. You may contact your retailer to check the warranty.

Hi  @PLOTH

Thanks for posting here.

The other unit has all 3 signal lights lit up constantly.

>>>Is this one the main unit of the sub one?

What's the hardware version of the EAP?

When you reset, did you reset both of the unit or only the problematic one?

If you didn't try that, please factory reset both of them, and put them together, configure again.

Also, you can switch their roles and see if it helps:

  @Vincent-TP

The Sub one has 3 lights for signal, the main has none.

Hardware V1

Yes reset both a number of times.

Still no good.

Hi  @PLOTH

Thanks for the reply.

The SUB unit's signal light is illuminated, indicating it's receiving signals from the MAIN unit. This suggests the hardware is still functional.

To help troubleshoot:

  1. How did you determine they were disconnected? Was the network unavailable?
  2. Is the MAIN router's network operating normally?
  3. Can you still access their web interfaces?  if yes, please try Change Role as I mentioned before.

To get a real-time help, you may call hotline team. They will guide you step by step.

The sub shows full signal even while the main unit is not powered on.

  @Vincent-TP

I just tried to power the main through a DC plug same outcome

Power light, after a short delay, 3 signal lights.

Approximately 30 seconds later the unit seems to reboot, all lights go out, only the power light comes back on. That light stays on but turns off every 30 seconds or so.

The sub shows full signal even while the main unit is not powered on.

Guessing the unit is defective.
