Thank you for your post. You might consider enabling “Auto IR” instead of “IR Always On,” so the camera can automatically control the infrared illuminator based on ambient light. The reason could be that, in your current environment, using IR alone makes the image too dark.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I forgot to mention that this was my original setting and the effect was the same – when I set it to automatic IR, the camera switches to IR mode in the evening and "nothing" can be seen in the video.

Please try adjusting the over-exposure settings to see if that improves the image. If there is ambient lighting available, you might consider turning off the IR night vision while keeping your current configuration, as this can often yield clearer recordings.
