All switches are connected to the controller and stay. I can Upgrade them, reprovision etc. , though: I never tried to completly reset them and again adopt them.

 

Resetting the AP and adopting gets to the error I described.

The root cause of all this was that a problem with the connection between my main switch and the poe-ap-switch. I setup a LAG between them which does not work correctly (still isn't. But when I switched to a single cable connection everything started to work again.
