ER-707M2 will not connect to Cable Modem
To start off this was a previously working system until about two weeks ago when this issue started. I did not make any changes, but automatic firmware updates were enabled. A power outage did occur around this time. At this time I had an ER605 as the gateway. The ER707 is new as of a few days ago after I thought that it might be the issue. Surprise, it wasn't.
I cannot get my gateway to connect to my cable modem. I have tried two different modems; an Arris Surfboard and a Netgear Nighthawk.
The Surfboard will serve what looks to be proper addresses for the cable provider, but will not pass packets. Ping and tracert stop at he modem. MAC Address must be cloned for it to connect.
The Nighthawk will not even connect after provisioning even wih the MAC address cloned. I cannot ping the modem.
I can connect my laptop idrectly to each modem and have internet access. I can put my old Deco router on the modems and the internet works. Omada fails every time. I feel that I am missing something, but I have no clue what it might be. My network is nothing special, Modem -> gateway->switch->wired and AP's. No VLANS, filtering, etc.
I have tried everything I can think of;
1. Resetting the modem with just the ER707 connected.
2. Rebooting everything.
3. Trying Unicast DHCP.
4. New VLAN
5. Using old ER605
Any ideas are welcome.
