Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.2

I have a TP-LINK TL-ER6120 with a WAN port configured for my local fiber internet provider (Claro FIBRA 1Gbps).

I normally use the Dynamic IP connection type, VLAN 336 with DHCP Unicast enabled, and everything works fine.

Now I bought the TP-LINK ER8411, and I thought that after configuring port 4 as WAN, I could simply plug in the same RJ45 cable I use on the ER6120 into that port, set it to the same Dynamic IP type, and everything would work.

But it doesn't... it tries to connect and simply won't connect.

What can I do to fix this?

Thank you for your post. Have you compared the WAN-side configurations of the ER6120 and the ER8411—are they identical? You could also try MAC-cloning the ER6120’s WAN MAC address onto the new router, or simply power-cycle the modem.
