ER8411 strange behaviour on Lan-DNS and URL filtering

Model: ER8411
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.6

I have to issues with my Gateway:

The first issue is if I do not whitelist everything in URL filtering, some sides won't load at all. They are like not reachable, when there is nothing set up, I do not use DPI. If I go then to the URL filtering page in the controller and whitelist every option they load perfectly fine 2s after I clicked apply. That issue is there since V1.3.2 (the first version I noticed that this option blocks that).

The bigger issue for me right now is:
I set up Lan-DNS for all devices in my network, that are pubically reachable, such as smart home, server and controller (in reality some more). On my server it is working perfectly when. On my Smart Home "server" either.

If I say ping or nslookup in the cmd line it says
"results for XYZ.mydomain" 172.16.0.2 or for smarthome.mydomain 172.16.0.3 so it is working.

But for system.mydomain which should be forwarded to my controller, that gets ignored, no matter what I do when I ping it or use nslookup it always outputs me my public IP instead of the controller internal IP (172.16.0.10). I already restarted the Gateway and re-aplied the settings manually and recreated the entire Lan DNS thinngy, changed nothing. Anyone experienced something similar or has a fix for that?

  @Julian2111

Thank you for your post.
Which specific pages—or types of pages—fail to load? Also, did the LAN-DNS issue appear only after the firmware upgrade, or did it exist on the previous version? What firmware version is your Omada Controller running?
