EAP 603-OUTDOOR unstable ping
To the relevant development or support team,
I am writing to formally request the integration of recent performance optimizations from the EAP225-OD's latest build into the firmware for the EAP603-OD access points.
We are currently experiencing significant network instability and poor performance on the EAP603-OD devices, manifesting as:
High Latency/Ping Spikes: Users are consistently reporting excessive ping times.
Frequent Signal Drops: Wireless connections are unstable, leading to constant disconnections.
These issues persist even when the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands are deployed using separate Service Set Identifiers (SSIDs).
Observed Solution (EAP225-OD Benchmark)
The EAP225-OD units, when handling a similar user load (under 30 clients), do not exhibit these ping or stability issues. This suggests the EAP225-OD's recent firmware contains critical performance improvements that are currently missing in the EAP603-OD build.
Network Environment Context
For your information, our deployment environment uses a multiple AP (VLAN) configuration managed by a MikroTik switch with FastTrack enabled to ensure optimized switching/routing performance. The issue is therefore isolated to the EAP603-OD's wireless performance.
Request
We urge you to port the stability and performance fixes/optimizations from the EAP225-OD's latest firmware to the EAP603-OD firmware as soon as possible to resolve these critical issues.
Thank you,
