Ive looked all over the threads and cant pinpoint an answer.  I have been utilizing the WiFi optimization feature to hopefully have all AP run at optimal performacnce.  About a month ago the results were rendering high 60% to low 70%. About 2 weeks ago the highest it would get is mid to upper 50%. Sometimnes in the 40%.  Nothing changed in my network configuration in that span of time.  I have tried moving some APs around, and have had little success or made it worse.  ANy idieas?  And if you dont suggest using the WiFi opt. feature, then how would you suggest setting all the radios on the APs.  Thank you.

Hi @Cornflakes81,

There could be other environemntal factors that have degraded your overall wifi performance.  For example, I live in a densly populated area and I'm sure most of my neighbors set their wifi to max transmit power, auto channel and the largest channel width; my optimization effectivness is at the mercy of their channel auto selection.  Even if you're out in the midlle of nowhere, there could be people using hotspots or other electrolics that generate noise on the wifi bands.

Have a l look at this KB (https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/kb/detail/412744).  I think it essentially covers what to do to optimization wifi and is likely the logic used in the WAN Optimization process.
