EAP650 - EOL after two years?
How is it possible that the EAP650 EU released in 2022 and still sold today, is EOL since 2024? Source: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/manual/2025/202509/20250910/EOL%20List_Business_V6.0.pdf
There is no firmware 1.3.5 available like it is for the identical EAP653.
Please clarify!

Hi @dadaniel_at,
IMO, you shouldn't need to search several documents to get this answer, but it is what it is...
That pdf is called EOL, but the dates in it are for EOS (End of Sale). Then you need to go to the TP-Link End-of-Life Policy document (https://privacy.tp-link.com/web/website/policy). There you'll see that "Unless otherwise required by law, the EOM date is usually 3 years after the EOS date." By their definition of EOM, "date is when TP-Link will no longer provide support or maintenance for a product", I assume that this is what most would consider EOL. To make things more confusing, I've seen the text "End of Life" on some product pages, but I don't know how consistent this is.
For the EAP650 v1, EOS was 6/21/2024 and assuming EOM is EOS+3, you get to 6/21/2027. Just because it's within the EOM period it doesn't guarantee firmware updates; and you may get firmware updates past the EOM date too. Also note that different versions of the same model have different EOS/EOM dates. It looked like version 3 is currently for sale, version 1 and 2 have reached EOS.
You may was to start a new post to specifically address you question about the firmware. It was my understanding that the EAP650 and EAP653 models were the same except the EAP653 package did not include a power adapter. For v1, the support page shows 1.1.3 for both models when I looked.

my 653 v1 US is already updated to 1.3.1 while my 650 v1 US is still stuck with 1.1.3

Seems EAP650v1 1.3.50 is in "Pre-release" status and has not officially been released yet, but EAP653v1 1.3.50 was.

Not sure what's holding it up... maybe post back in the thread above for an update.
