Hi Team,

I currently have the following equipment which I recently purchased to replace my Ubiquiti setup:

 

1 x OC200 (Controller version 5.14.26.23) 
1 x TP-Link ER7206 v2.20 (Version 2.2.2)
3 x SG2210MP v5.0 (Version 5.0.12)
1 x SG2428P v5.30 (Version 5.30.13)
1 x EAP610-Outdoor(EU) v1.0 (Version 1.4.3)
3 x EAP653(EU) v1.0 (Version 1.1.3)

 

I have a DHCP server running on Windows where I have configured 15 different scopes which were serving the 15 different VLANS I have across my network in the Ubiquiti setup.

 

I have followed the online TP-Link guides but am still struggling to get the DHCP Relay for the VLANS to function at all.

 

Any pointers please?

@GRL  This is exactly what DHCP Relay is made for and does support VLAN's.

 

@Turbotim2025 Have a look at this guide, chapter 1.2 "In controller mode". You may have already seen this or not, but it explains (in not too much detail unfortunately) what you have to do. You will probably have to search for a few options since the interface has changed a bit as of controller version 6.

I do not know what your network setup looks like, but it is possible that the VLAN's are not enabled/distributed properly across the switches or the switch interconnecting ports are not setup as trunks with multiple VLAN's. Perhaps a quick sketch of your setup can help us to narrow it down.

Why use a windows server for DHCP on a relatively small network?  just use the gateway DHCP

You would need to make your windows system aware of all vlans and it have a tagged interface on all vlans you want it to serve DHCP on

I dont think omada DHCP relay can function cross-vlan boundaries

Thank you very much for your assistance, I went through that guide and got DHCP Relay from my Windows Server to the VLANS functioning correctly.
