Model: ER7412-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20251015

Hello, I have removed the ER7412-M2 from my network. Unfortunately, I started experiencing packet loss, mainly affecting meetings and voice interactions.

I was using SFPs for both providers, so the first step was to check my ODI ONU stick and change my WAN to the Ethernet WAN ports. Not solved.

So, I decided to test both providers and realized the problem was present in both.

Finally, I removed the ER7412-M2, and now I'm using my old Linksys as a router; no packet loss anymore.

Is anyone experiencing the same behavior? The problem was not happening in the previous firmware version, so something is pointing to this new version. I don't remember making any configuration changes that could have caused it. Also i'm not using Omada Controller.

I want to downgrade, but there is a disclaimer saying that it's not possible. Any tips?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you for your post. Regarding the packet loss issue you mentioned, how did you test it? Did you perform a ping test using a PC, for example? In addition, you might consider resetting the ER7412-M2 to factory defaults and reconfiguring it to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem is related to the current configuration.

Hello, thanks for replying to my message. Yes, I performed the pings using a PC and also used other web tools to check latency and ping. It's clear that the router is losing some packets.I had a chance to hard reset the router today, so I configured it from defaults without restoring a backup to ensure that no misconfiguration was in place. Unfortunately, the problem persists.I also configured it this time using Omada Controller, but there were no changes in the packet loss scenario Considering the following steps that I have already performed: - Factory reset - New configuration from scratch - Both providers using SFP ports and Ethernet/WAN ports - Keping the default settings for firewall and attack defense What else can I do? I would like to force/revert the latest firmware installed if possible as my next step .Thank you

  @leandrosgf

Is the packet loss happening on WAN side, LAN side or WAN<>LAN NAT transition ?

This sounds like it could possibly be a fragmentation issue, follow any one of the numerous guides out there that can show you how to do a ping test for maximum MTU size and adjust the WAN MTU as necessary if you find the default 1500 value does indeed fragment

  @GRL I´m using PPPoe connection, so I must use 1492 as MTU size and pinging the gateway, it seems that the packet loss is present in both side ( LAN and WAN )
