Hi. I have multiple AX23 devices located around my house/property. I use Easy Mesh with one main router and satellites. Ever since I started to use Easy Mesh (I used to have C6 and several C64) I experience WiFi Calling drop offs. It happens when while on a call I start to walk around the house, assuming the device switches between different nodes in my network. It happens for all the phones (Samsung, Huawei) that support WiFi Calling.

It is the same with and without Smart Connect. My WiFi coverage is decent as I have 3 AX23 devices in the house and one is in the backyard. WiFi Calling is working but the problem is that it drops off if I try to move from one room to another. I have some IoT devices for which I use separate IoT network on AX23. My smartphones are set to prioritize WiFi connection for calls over cell network. I assumed it is not smartphone configuration related as I've tested it on several devices, different brands. Also I had exactly same issues when using different TM Link devices in Easy Mesh configuration (C6 main router + several C64 as satellites). Is that a known issue for TP Link devices and is there an configuration that can be changed to finally make it work properly.

Please try the following suggestions:

1)Disable SIP ALG on Your Router:
• Log in to your router's web management interface.
• Go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding > ALG.
• Disable the "SIP ALG" option and save the settings.

2) Reserve Your Phone's IP Address and Enable Port Forwarding:
 • Reserve a static IP address for your phone:
  • Go to Advanced > Network > DHCP Server and add an address reservation entry in the Address Reservation section.


3) Enable port forwarding for UDP port 500 and port 4500:
  • Go to Advanced > NAT Forwarding > Port Forwarding and configure port forwarding for these ports.
 

4) Compare by reducing the number of client connections.

5) Test signal strength and connection stability at the boundaries between nodes.

6) Test different ISP networks for comparison, if possible.
