HI, i am testing the Omada controller because my plan to setup it for 700 user. 

I want to prevent wireless users from sharing Wi-Fi via the mobile hotspot. So i enabled Prohibit Wi-Fi Sharing setting. but when i test it i can still use the mobile hotspot. 

i have Omada_Controller_v6.0.0.25_Windows. 

and as AP i am using EAP225 (Firmware Version 5.2.3 Build 20250709 Rel. 67584). (Power through POE). 

POE switch is other brand.

 

Can you please Guide me. So i can complete my testing and go to the live envirement ASAP.

Your device not support Prohibit Wi-Fi Sharing , 

if you go to configuration result, incompatible, select your wifi device to se

Can you please guide me what will i do? I need this features. Which devices are supporting this feature? It's just a firmware work. Why TPLink not fixing this?

I don't know which device has this feature, it's probably safest to get that information from the Omada team. But you'll probably need to upgrade to a newer EAP6x.

what device type do you want, outdoor indoor Wifi7 or Wifi6

I just want to provide 2.5 GHz only. Because i have 600-700 users. i just want to prevent the user to share the wifi via mobile hotspot. 

if you have any idea about the APs which have this feature please let me know.

EAP225 also adapted to Omada controller but its not supporting to this feature. 
can you please tell me the budgeted AP which support this feature as EAP225 is budgeted AP. 

 

Is EAP 245 supporting this feature?
