Hi,

 

My ISP recently enabled IPv6 and I was able to successfully pass-through the IPv6 designation to all LAN devices. Following is my setup:

 

ISP router -> after-market router -> L3 Managed Switch -> my device

 

Devices connected directly from my router are able to get internet from IPv6.

However, devices connected to the L3 switch are unable to get internet from IPv6.

 

 

The L3 switch itself is able to ping a DNS

 

 

I wonder what step have I missed or yet to configure. Would love to hear your guidance, thank you!

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

To assist you with the IPV6 issue, can you provide the following information:

1. Is this issue happening on all clients?

2. If you try to disable the IPV6 and use IPV4 only, is the same PC connected the switch able to get Internet access?

3. With the IPV6 enabled, did you try to ping the DNS you tried to ping on SG3428X on the same PC and check the connectivity? (It would be much appreciated it any screenshot would be provided.)

1. Yes, all clients connected to the switch

 

 

2. The IPv6 was originally disabled until recently, yes I have internet access on all my IPv4 clients from the switch.

 

3. Here's the result, kindly see attached:

 

 

I was browsing the forum yesterday and found out my firmware is pretty much outdated already, I wonder if that is a factor. Thank you for checking!

I upgraded the firmware to Pre-Release ver 1.30.16 Build 20251226 Rel.59710

 

I dont know how but somehow fixed it on its own. Clients now have internet access thru IPv6.
