Replacement PoE cable for VIGI C540S
Hello,
I have a VIGI C540S that managed to get some water into the Ethernet plug and caused the plug and the cable to rust pins away, as with the POE it acted like an anode.
I want to replace the cable that goes into the camera and connects to the chip board via a 10 or 12 pin connector. It is really small difficult to read it true. I can check an provide a picture if required.
Kindly asking you to provide a contact where I could get the replacement cables.
Kind Regards,
Fabian Wostal

Hi @cyberhak
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
It is more convenient and faster if you can contact the local support via local support to check the warranty.
It would be much appreciated if you can provide any screenshot of the issue and the invoice of the camera for their reference.

@Hank21 I do have multiple Vigi Cameras which are the modesl C540.
I would appriciate when you can tell me where I could buy or order the 10 PIN cables from the motherboard to a PoE plug.
In Switzerland we dont have a official support center from TP-LINK.
The cameras were ordered a year ago by Reichelt DE shop.
Cannot find any support anywhere about replacement parts.
I would need like 3-5 cables like that.

Hi @cyberhak
The community teams don’t have this information.
It is recommended that you visit the official website link in your country and contact the support department. Even if there isn’t a local support team, the assigned support agent should be able to provide further guidance. Thanks.

Dear @Vincent-TP
I mentioned to you already that there is no official support page from TP-LINK in Switzerland. The shops do not provide the spare parts.
As per European Law TP-LINK and other companies are forced to provide spare parts for their products in purpose for the reperation.
Please check the Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, Article 11(1)
It says that the companies which sales their products should provide:
- Spare parts availability
- Repair manuals
- Access to repair information
- Repair services
- Replaceable batteries
- Designs that do not obstruct repair
If TP-LINK wiill not like to provide it I will put this information on interet like also mention in newspaper. Will do a big shauting on how TP-LINK treats his clients by do not providing their support as they suppose too.
