Cloud managed Switches down without any logs
Hi all.
Model: SG6654X
Version: 1.0.13 Build 20250428 Rel.57639
We have a cloud-managed stack switch of SG6654X model with the version 1.0.13 Build 20250428 Rel.57639, both switch connected via the stack port with official DAC cable.
Recently, we are having issue where the stack switch went out of service without any reason.
The console logs only show the switches are down.
No logs can be found.
The only workaround is to reboot the switches.
Syslog settings in the cloud console didn't send any logs regarding switches.
Any idea and hint to troubleshoot for this issue?

Hi @Viva_Lew99
Thanks for posting here.
The firmware version of the switches is not the latest. Please first update the switch to the latest one and see if the situation persists.
If still the same, to better understand the situation, please let us know the following info:
1. A screenshot of the Device page of the controller, showing the firmware version of the SDN devices;
2. What kind of controller are you using? What's the firmware version?
3. The topology of the network;

4. When the switch is out of service, is the power LED still on?
5. When did you install the switches? When did you first notice this issue? Did you update the system firmware, or were there any other changes?

Hi @Vincent-TP
Thanks for the reply.
I will proceed to upgrade the switch version 1st and let you know if the upgrade can solve the issue.
As mention, the switch is managed by Omada SDN Cloud Controller.
May I know usually how long does the firmware upgrade take?

Hi @Viva_Lew99
Thanks for the reply. It won't take long, around 10-30 mins.
the switch is managed by Omada SDN Cloud Controller.
>>>To verify, it's the free version, Omada cloud Essentails, or the standard version, Omada cloud-based controller?

Hi @Vincent-TP
It is the Omada cloud-based controller.
It won't take long, around 10-30 mins.

Hi @Viva_Lew99
Yes, also applies to the stack switch. It may be a little longer if there are many configs.
