Unable to access management interface after nic swap
Recently did a nic swap from my onboard nic to a Tplink Tx201 2.5gb nic. Everytime I try to access the local management page via the gateway address I get a time-out. It worked fine with the onboard nic. I've restarted the router, updated the drivers of the new nic tried different browsers (cleared cache) and problem persists. Any ideas why this is happening or what I can do to find out?
Thanks

Hi,
Verify that you haven't restricted access to the management interface to the onboard NIC only. In case you had configured the router to only allow the MAC address of the onboard NIC, then of course only the onboard NIC would be able to access the webpage.

@woozle Thank you. Follow up question. Since I can't get into the local management interface can this setting be access through the tether app or do I have to reconnect to the onboard nic and check that way? Thank you for the help, much appreciated.

I do not actually know whether that option is available in the Tether app or not, but I very much doubt it.
The purpose of the feature is to add another layer of access restriction and allowing it to be changed via Tether would defeat the purpose of the feature.
