I see your point. This is the first time I have seen a firmware update change the hardware version but I have only been using Omada products for less than two years. That update occurred when there was a name change from Jetstream to Omada and I would guess that the hardware in the initial Omada model was the same hardware as the Jetstream model and only the outer case was changed. The version number change was probably done to eliminate confusion between the two models.

If the device's web interface now displays v3.20, then that is what you should always use to upgrade the unit.

Hi  @msankowski

If you have SG2008P V3.20 and SG2008 V4.20, then please try to update the firmware in this pre-release post with the same hardware versions which point to 3.20.20 and 4.20.20 respectively.

  @Vincent-TP For the new pre release 1.20.21 on my SG3428X-M2 V1.2 I noticed it fixes the issue of airplay being longer possible across VLANs but now my devices like my server that is running 24/7 or many IoT devices just appear offline if they are online.

And happy easter!

  @Julian2111 Not sure if it is the switch or the new firmware for the windows controller [6.2.0.17] because after around 2 days uptime the switch starts to disconnect from the controller and readopt, then the controller says adopt failed, then it works. But weridly I can not find any log in the controller that says "device disconnected" or anything similar.

  @Vincent-TP

I have updated my SG3428XPP-M2 v1 to firmware 1.20.22 From April 1, 2026. It seems to be working, however I have noticed that the web interface either takes a VERY long time to load, or does not load at all.

Has anyone else noticed this, and is there a known solution?

Hi  @Rahzadan

Thanks for posting here. We haven't encountered this kind of issue.

What kind of web browser are you using? What's the version number? Does it occur on all kinds of web browsers, or certain ones?

  @Vincent-TP

It is happening on both Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox, from multiple PCs on my network. Tried clearing browser caches. The Switch appears to be functioning, however the web interface fails to fully load. The login screen loads the background, then stalls. I have tried powercycling as well, but the web interface continues to load slowly. This was not an issue in the previous firmware version 1.20.21.

I was able to roll back to 1.20.21 Build 20260310 Rel.12599 and the web interface slowness went away immediately. Something changed in 1.20.22 that made the web interface load very slowly (at least, with my configuration)

Are you using it in standalone mode?

In standalone operation mode, when you set the switch IP, it doesnt actually have a setting for default gateway, meaning any attempt to access it from a different vlan will result in exactly this situation - the web interface wont load.  you can resolve this by adding a 0.0.0.0/0 default route to your gateway IP on the management vlan, which has the same effect as setting a actual gateway IP
