Model: EAP653
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.5

LG Wolfgang

English:

I have four TP-EAP653 devices connected to my network. In my computer room (IP192.168.178.15), where I pair and configure my Shelly devices, they work perfectly.

However, after trying to install a Shelly device in the garage, for example, using an EAP653 (IP192.168.178.23), it is no longer recognized on my network. I also tried pairing the Shelly device again in this area, but it is still not recognized.

I am using Omada on an OC200 with a TP-ER605 v2.20 gateway and several TP-SG2016P switches connected in series. What hidden settings have I messed up? I have disabled the MAC and IP address options on each device. Could something have been changed in the WLAN optimization settings? My Fritz!Box shows all the individual IP addresses as "Online," but Omada shows many devices as "DISCONNECTED." I hope someone has a solution for me.

Best regards, Wolfgang

  @Brauel-Brackel

Today I reseted my complete Omada Installation! Then I resetted all Devices and configurated every EAP with my needed WLAN. There was all Clients shown which I needed.

I created differend SSID, like xxx, Shelley-Low, BB-Smartphone, BB-Hotspot etc.

Now I registered that the "Gateway" Is named as "Untag", so I have acces to all my Devices again.

Now I want to create VLAN for my differed WLAN´s VLAN40 = IoT (Shelly), VLAN10 = BB-Smartphone, VLAN30 = Guest-WLAN, VLAN1 for all Systems wihch are Basic.

I created backups, but I am not sure, it will work, I am a little bit afraid. What do you think?

Hi  @Brauel-Brackel

May I ask your network topology to begin with?

Is the issue that your EAP653 cannot pair with your Shelly devices? If there is any misunderstanding, please correct me with the correct information.

By the way, what does ""disable MAC and IP address on your devices" mean?

On the first EAP653 with the WLAN "BB-Cam" I connected or installed the Shelly Switch. After them I placed it mo my garage, there is another EAP653, connected in the same network and also running the WLAN "BB-Cam". But now it will not shown as connected!

Hi  @Brauel-Brackel

Glad to know you have resolved the connection issue with your EAP653 and Shelly devices.

If you want to setup SSID vlan for your APs, you may refer to the user guide for more information.
