I am using a VIGI C540V (dual-lens) and I need to clarify the Auto Zoom functionality.

  1. Where is the setting? Is Auto Zoom a standalone feature, or is it strictly part of the "Smart Tracking" menu?

  2. Logic of operation: Does the camera use its 3x zoom automatically to enlarge a detected person/vehicle, or do I need to enable a specific "Auto Scale" option?

  3. Dual-Lens switching: How does the Auto Zoom handle the transition between the long-focal and short-focal lenses during automatic tracking?

I want the camera to automatically zoom in on detected objects without manual intervention. Please guide me to the correct menu path.

 

Or does this model only support manual zoom via the app interface?

Please fimd the answers below:

1. The C540V does not support auto zoom.

2. Zoom in, Zoom out, 3D positioning, Preset, and Patrol Scan will trigger lens switching. The magnification threshold for lens switching is 1.76. Zoom in, Zoom out, Preset, and Patrol are user-defined fixed zoom settings. 3D positioning will automatically calculate and dynamically adjust the zoom.

3. The C540V only supports tracking moving people or moving objects; it does not support tracking moving vehicles. Automatic tracking will not trigger lens switching, auto-focus, or zoom.

Unfortunately, the VIGI C540V doesn't have Auto Zoom, just the Smart Tracking feature and manual 3x zoom. Can you clarify where you saw this feature available for VIGI Cameras?
 

Tapo cameras have AI Zoom available, if that is something you are interested in as an alternative.
