Tuesday
Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 5.1.11

I am having an persistant issue with the Omada Controller not adopting my AP to the mesh cloud network. I looked up possible solutions online but none of them seem to be working. After I reset the device, I wait until the controller assigns a IP address to the AP and then attempt to adopt so that the system sees it as a wired device. I don't want it uplinked to another AP. If I do this, I get an error that the controller can't get the AP to respond to the adopt request and the adoption fails. Not sure how to resolve this issue. I presume it has something to do with the firmware on the AP being out of date, but I cannot update the firmware without adopting it first through the Omada Controller app. I tried resetting the AP and connecting to the SSID of the AP directly from my laptop and going through the adoption process through http://tplinkeap.net and following the prompts, but there is no option to update the firmware and it goes nowhere.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

Hi  @SuperMario720

Thanks for posting here.

What does the mesh cloud network refer to? Do you already have a mesh network? Are you trying to add this EAP225-outdoor to the existing EAP mesh network?

For your EAP, you can first update it to the latest firmware. Below is the download link:

After the update, please refer to this guide to build a mesh network.
