I updated the firmware to 2.3.1 Build 20260325 Rel. 78157.

 

When I went in to turn on IPS/IDS, the "Mode" was only 2 options:

- Detect Only (IDS)

- Detect and Prevent (IPS)

 

Is the 2nd option a confusing way to indicate that both IPS/IDS are enabled without actually saying it?

In that case, if there are going to be 2 options, maybe change it to look like this:

- Detect and Prevent (IDS/IPS)

When you enable IPS, you also turn on IDS.
You must be able to detect to protect.
If you only have IDS on, you detect without protecting.
