Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

The OC220 prompted me to update the firmware for the router, which I did.  The log showed the error message:

Echo Server.    May 19, 2026 08:39:20 pm     Device failed to apply configurations. (ErrorCode: gateway_100)

I posted a support request regarding this, but support was unable to provide further details about which setting could not be configured that triggered the error message.

My suggestion is to add additional information to the error message so that it reveals the specific fields or settings that caused the error.  Obviously, during the update the code knows which settings it could not configure; it simply needs to report that back to the user.

The strange part is that the update was actually applied and the router is running successfully under the new firmware.

Please include any error message. They should provide enough information to connect the error with its source.

@vdawg Yes, I have. But I was suggested by TP-Link to vote here for my broader request about elaboration on every Omada error. Here are original issues locations connected with poor error description: Configuring LAN DNS and Controller GUI UX Bugs.
