I have a Deco X50, hardware version V1.2, in the EU. It runs firmware 1.4.5 and the app tells me that is the newest there is.

The V1 version of the exact same product got Internet Backup in firmware 1.6.0. Mine tops out at 1.4.5. That update gave me EasyMesh, WireGuard VPN and a fixed WAN port. No Internet Backup.

All I want is the basic thing it does. When my internet drops, switch to my phone hotspot. V1 owners have that. I cannot get it.

Nobody picks a hardware version in the shop. You buy a Deco X50. Mine happens to be the one that gets left behind.

And it is not just me. V1.30 owners have been waiting about a year for anything at all. The older versions look dropped.

So, plainly:

1. Is there a real hardware limitation that stops V1.2 from running Internet Backup, or has it just not been done?
2. If it is coming, when?
3. If it is never coming, say so. Then at least I know where I stand.

I would rather hear a flat no than nothing.
