Hi flexil

TP-Link doesn't receive the same feedback that the switch is not available on its IP after enabled snmp. And hasn't the beta firmware of T2600G-18TS.

If you are using T2600G-18TS V1, you can try to upgrade the frimware of V2. V1 can use the firmware of V2. Please note that you need to re-configure the switch after upgraded to V2.

If you still find the problem on T2600G-18TS V2, please contact TP-Link support. They will help you confirm the problem and solve it.

Hi.

I had this same problem in models: t2600-18ts, t1600-28ts, t1600-52ts,

I faund that the problem is in mibs. If you exclude some mibs from view switch not block snmp.

viewDefault
Exclude
1.3.6.1.2.1.4
viewDefault
Exclude
1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.16

When i run snmpwalk and get this mibs cpu and memory goes crazy. Utilisation was 100% and snmp block.

the second exclude have info about LLDP i need this info but more i need is stable network.

P.S.

In my t1600 i contact to support and i get firmware V2 but it's not resole problem

Only in new switches like t1700g-28tq problem not exist but still utilistation is 100%

Hi Medicom82

When use SNMP, the CPU needs to get many data from the different module in a short time. It's normal that get the high CPU during this short time.

But if SNMP makes your switch hangs or get the high CPU all the time, it should has some problem. If you confirm that you switch get the high CPU all the time, suggest to provide the config file and CPU screenshot to TP-Link Support. This problem is compatible and hard to solve in the community. It's better to contact the support.

If I do snmpwalk only for these OIDs, I do not have CPU Utilization message in logs. It doesn't seem to be related regarding exactly these OIDs, while some others give alerts for sure.

I do not think it is normal to have CPU, which sends notifications about utilization, even if it doesn't affect users. Non other vendor switches have such behaviour. Imagine to have 100 switches in your network, which flood your monitoring system, e.g. zabbix, once per minute about CPU Utilization. Thousands of warnings every hour. I would think it is some kind of problem in my network, like broadcast flood/viruses or loop. CPU behaviour should be changed, something like not to take more than 80% usage or doesn't send alert, when it is loaded only for a second.
