Use to be an FTP site to download firmware revisions, the site is no longer available.

If you are using ER6120 V1, please try the following firmware. I got it from TP-Link and it can work normally. But did not know whether can solve your issue. You can have a try.

Thanks for the link, I already did the upgrade, but neither that worked, I still receiving the error "server not responding"

If you use other device rather than Mac, can they connect to the VPN? 

Maybe you can check the system log, maybe find some important error message. 

How I do that log review?

When you cannot connect the VPN, check if there is any failed log.
