Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20170607 Rel.34192(s)

Hi,

I recently bought the T1500G-8T (TL-SG2008).

In the web guide, it says the hardware version: T1500G-8T 1.0, but in the boxed tag and also the switch tag, it says:

Model: T1500G-8T (UN) Ver 1.0 and (TL-SG2008 Ver 2.0).

So which version is mine?

Can I apply V2 firmware on it?

Thanks,

It's a TL-SG2008 V2, which recently has been renamed T1500G-8T V1. One of the differences to TL-SG2008 is the PoE (PD) port 8 of T1500G-8T, which allows the switch to be powered using a PoE source.

Yes, you can apply T1500G-8T firmware V2.0 to this V1 switch. After the update, it will report T1500G-8T V2, albeit it's still a V1 hardware.

Before firmware update:

After firmware update:
