Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 2.21

Hi All,

Last week we deployed a site with 22 EAP245v3 access points assigned to a Omada Software Controller running on Linux version 4.1.5.

We experience issues with clients not being disconnected from the Omada controller. At the beginning of the day approximately 90-100 clients are connected and at the end of the day 30 clients still show connected. However those clients are not in the building anymore.

I've attached a screenshot from some of those clients. As you can see the IP address is empty.

Disconnecting the clients manually make them disappear.

- EAP 245 v3 firmware 2.21

- Omada Software controller 4.1.5 running on Ubuntu

- Rebooted all access points already

- Tried disabling band steering

Any one else experiencing these issues?

@WSI

I assume that those clients showing on controller are getting weak wifi signal from the EAP but still stick to the EAP's Wi-Fi. They didn't switch to other available and working Wi-Fi automatically though they failed to obtain IP addresses for connections. So they are not actually connected. Perhaps it could help if you set RSSI thresholds to force disconnecting the clients with weak signals.

@Yannie

It's an office building. Those clients that show connected after a working day for example are not in the building or close at all. They just don't disconnect from the controller.

It's not happening to all clients. Let's say 100 clients are connected at the beginning of the day and at the and 20 are stuck at the end. Some devices have a multiple days uptime however they go home every day.
