Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 Build 20200703 Rel.59609

Just updated the OC200 to the new v1.7 firmware

Before doing so, it warned me to check compatibility, which i did.

I have 3x EAP245 and 1x EAP225-Outdoor. It wanted firmware version:

EAP245_V3 2.20.0 Build 20200423 Rel. 36779 and above

EAP225-Outdoor_V1 1.20.0 Build 20200422 Rel. 70543 and above

I checked this and have:

v2.4 on the EAP245's

v1.7 on the EAP225

So, thinking i'm all good, i go and upgrade as it kept bugging me. Now the upgrade is complete its telling me none of my devices are compatible and i cant see any clients connected to them, although the wifi AP's are still working and routing.

I did take a backup of my old controller settings, can't figure out where to restore this to.

So are my AP's not compatible with this new firmware ?

Need to get my controller back working.

Thanks!

The current firmware you have is apparently not the firmware it wants.

Please download the correct firmware from your region's official website:

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/eap245/v3/#Firmware

https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/eap225-outdoor/#Firmware

Then update from the controller:

click on the incompatible EAP device to show the menu on the right side,  locate to Manage Device where you can upload the firmware.

It's highly recommended to read the Omada Upgrade Guide for detailed steps,

I rebooted the controller and it allowed me to run the. rolling update.

For some reason, before i didnt get that button!

When i first updated i had to adopt them. Once done, no options to update to make them compatible. Rebooted then i got the down arrow next to each AP, updated them and all is now good.

Strange my firmware was a later version of the one it put on it.
