Inter VLAN
So far I think I've read every article on this subject on the forum and none seem to work. I have TL-SG3452P and can't seem to configure 2 VLANS to ping each other. Some articles refer to the SG-2600G having this ability.
Using the GUI, can someone help with the steps I need to go through to have two VLAN's setup and be able to ping each VLAN? I want to use inter-vlan and not have router on a stick to less load on router to route packets between VLAN's and just as a gateway to the internet.
What I've done so far.
Created VLAN 10 192.168.10.0/24
Created VLAN 20 192.168.20.0/24
My default VLAN 1 is 192.168.5.0/24
Using port 45 and 47 for testing with a laptop plugged into each port.
VLAN 1 is marked 'Untagged' on all ports
VLAN 10 is marked 'Untagged' on port 45
VLAN 20 is marked 'Untagged' on port 47
Port 45 has PVID 10 with Ingress as Enabled and Acceptable Frame Types as 'Admit All'
Port 47 has PVID 20 with Ingress as Enabled and Acceptable Frame Types as 'Admit All'
Under L3 Features which at this point not sure L3 Features are doing anything:
I have IPv4 Routing = Enabled
Interfaces are:
VLAN 10 Static 192.168.10.1 / 255.255.255.0
VLAN 20 Static 192.168.20.1 / 255.255.255.0
VLAN 1 Static 192.168.5.1 / 255.255.255.0
No static entries have been added.
Routing table is what is auto populated from the interfaces I created above.
I have DHCP Server = Enabled
Pool Setting I have three pools, one for each ip range listed above.
When I plug one of the laptops into port 47 receives an IP address in the 192.168.20.0/24 range. If I plug other laptop into port 45 it receives IP address in the 192.168.10.0/24 range.
The laptops firewall are set to allow ping and when I put them both in the same VLAN they can ping each other.
What am I doing wong?
Switch is brand new and other than setting a name and time on the deviece the above are the only settings I've changed.
