Linux 5.8.4 AI WLAN Optimization, Not Working...
Hey Guys-
I have a small office that has two APs... Inwall615 (1.0.0) and a 670 (1.0.6). I have AI WLAN Optimization runnning every night at 3am.
It worked until I upgraded to 5.8.4 linux OS.
Is this a bug until new firmware drops? @Fae
Thanks
KG!

After the firmware update on the 615.. it seemed to work..
Thank you for sharing the results. Your case should be a firmware compatible issue, the previous EAP615-Wall 1.0.0 firmware doesn't support AI WLAN Optimization so that the failed error occurred, it works once all the EAPs managed in the controller site are running the firmware that supported AI WLAN Optimization feature.

FWIW, I've only ever run 2 WLAN optimations, both manual.
My first was when I first stood up my home environment in Oct 22 on whatever the latest Linux controller was at that time, two EAP650s, and one EAP225-Outdoor. At that time, I didn't do power optimization but it ran without issue.
I just now completed a second optimization, now with Linux 5.8.4 controller and same APs. This time I added power optimization and it run successfully without issue.
In both cases, APs were on latest firmware versions at the time.

Dear @KimcheeGUN,
Before reading your post, I haven't heard that there is an issue on the AI WLAN Optimization with 5.8.4 controller.
Could you please try to elaborate on the AI WLAN Optimization not working issue? Is there any error showing up?
Can you reproduce the issue steadily and how did you reproduce it?

Dear @KimcheeGUN,
Could you please also upgrade your EAP615-Wall to the current latest 1.1.3 Build 20220921 firmware (note that the firmware in the link can be installed on the EU/US version) for checking? If it doesn't help, can you still recall the previous controller version before upgrading to 5.8.4?

Kinda weird, that my 5.8.4 haven't given me the notification that the new firmware was out. I manually pressed the firmware upgrade button in the device list and it didn't show a red dot.
I upgraded and I will test more tonight.
I did downgrade to 5.7.4 and both APs worked with WiFi AI.

Your case seems to be a DHCP issue, trigger is AI WLAN Optimization, but it's not an AI WLAN Optimization error.
