Model: ER7212PC
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0

Hello

i would like to build an Omada setup witch 1 headqurter there is one Software Controler, switches and EAP in planed to install. Firewall in HQ is planned to use an opnsense.

i will use the ER7212PC in some Remoteoffices.
my idea is too use the ER7212 as router for the VPN to the HQ, switch for the PC and poe-Switch for one EAP.

Management of the TP-Link device's in the  Remoteoffice i would like to use the central software controller from HQ.

Can i deactivate the internal Controller from ER7212PC und Manage this device (remote site) from central controller ?

best regards oli

Hello @Obrenner

Thank you for your valuable feedback, this has been reported to our support team for attention.

And @Virgo is correct, ER7212PC can not be managed by any other controllers, and the built-in controller feature can not be disabled.

  @Obrenner

You can not disable the built-in controller on the ER7212PC, which means you can not adopt 7212 on other controllers.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.

  @Virgo

thanks, for reply...

at the German Page of TP-Link the Specification says:

Centralized Management • Omada Hardware Controller (OC300)
• Omada Hardware Controller (OC200)
• Omada Software Controller
• Omada Cloud-Based Controller

so TP-Link has to change the Spacification on the the German website :-)
