Model: TL-SG108E
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20191021 Rel.53360

Hello,

I have a TPlink X20 Deco (3 pack) and TL-SG108E switch connecting all the rooms of the house. Each deco is connected to each other over ethernet backhaul.
I dont want to use current problematic PPOE modem. So I coonected one of the decos (main) to the fiber box.

Everything is OK so far. The problem is the IPTV configuration. The X20 deco has 2 ethernet ports and I use one of them for wan and second one for lan. There is no port left that can be used for IPTV.

I have searched and read many pages on the internet about IPTV settings, but I have not been successful.

The IPTV vlan id is 103 and there is no vlan id for internet connection.

The network structure :) and the vlan configuration of the switch are as follows:

The switch ports 2 to 7 will be used for internet and lan; the port 8 will be used for IPTV.

Network connections

A- What should be the IPTV configuration on the main X20 Deco?

B- What should be the vlan and igmp configuration on the TL-SG108E switch?

A: Port 1 is tagged. but did you tag port 2 on your main Deco? if you don't tag your port 2 on deco, then vlan 103 is not gonna flow thru to the switch. and iptv wouldn't work.

B: nothing as you deco is wrong first. you don't have to worry about this if you don't fix A

switch is correct if you set 8 as untagged and pvid 103.

  @Tedd404

Tedd, actually I tried that. I mean I enabled the IPTV configuration in th Deco for port 2. In that case Deco says "if you enbale IPTV for this port it can only be used for IPTV". And after enbaling IPTV for the 2nd port of the main deco. Other Decos can connect to main Deco over wifi instead of ethernet.

If Deco had a 3rd port, (1: input, 2: internet; 3:iptv) it would seem like this would be possible, but in this case, it seems like i'll have to find another way.

As an alternate, is it possible to something like this ? :
