Lan Portal. Switch Authentication, Ethernet Portal
Lan Portal. Switch Authentication, Ethernet Portal
Hi, I have Omada OC200, 6 APs, my portal is working good. But lately I need expand the portal to Lan based ethernet and other brand AP lying around. Can a smart TP-link switch compatible to omada controller provide me what I need? Example in port 2-3 every devices accessing this port will be directed to portal and need voucher or sms to be connected to network regarding what AP or other unmanage switch it was connected?

Hello @urzu18,
Yes, the portal could be active on the wired network either, you may choose the wired Network when you choose the SSID & Network Option.

Basically this is what I want without buying other ap but instead use my unmanage switch and my other ap to be connected and bridge every devices to portal using tplink switch port 1-4. Is this possible?

Hi @urzu18,
If you don't use the Omada Gateway, it can not achieve your needs. The Omada gateway should be in your network, only the Omada switch can not use the Portal based on Network.

basically, the lan portal will enable all devices getting the IP from the er605 to send portal request to the router. so, it should do it.

I thought er605 is capable have giving dhcp server without smart tplink switch using one of it's port? i can't seem to do that using er605 in omanda controller.

wdym?
it is capable. what are you saying? i don't understand your sentence.
with the switch, you should configure vlan accordingly. without a switch, you configure router ports with vlan. anyway it should land to the portal as long as you set it up as lan.

I am sorry if i didn't make my post clear. What i am trying to say is i have 2 16g ports router unmanaged router. Trying to create 2 lan. Port 5 and port 4 with different ip address. I cannot do that maybe because I don't have tplink smart switch and maybe because of omada controller.
