Model: EAP650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.7 Build 20230423 Rel. 75707

I have two WAPs in my network. In OC200 controller, I see the following in details of one of them:

While the other shows:

This gave me the impression that the second AP doesn't provide 5G. Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix this? They both have the same configuration...

By the way, the utilization doesn't make much sense, since it's sometimes high even when nobody is there...

  @SMX42

Do both APs have exactly the same profile?  If not, it's possible to only define a 2.4G SSID.

Verify that the 5.8G radio is enabled on the second unit.

@d0ugmac1 I don't know what you mean by Profile, but they both are a part of a Mesh network with supposedly seamless roaming. There is only one SSID created by my controller unit, and it seems serving both bands automatically. I just don't know why the second AP doesn't show 5G activated...

Compare the settings for both APs (I assume both are 650's) here and validate both have active 5G radios and valid channels and power

@d0ugmac1 Well, it doesn't look like it (right side):

vs.

One weird thing is that the controller says the APs hardware are v1.0 while on the sticker it says v1.2, and also the firmware is v1.0.7 and it's built in 2023 while there is no such driver available to download from the website.

I've also connected an additional EAP225 for testing, and that also works fine with both 2.4G & 5G bands!

@d0ugmac1 That is already enabled... I've disabled and re-enabled it before, but didn't change a thing. I also copied all the configs from the other AP, but the result is still the same. Is it a kind of conflict or overlap with the other AP maybe?

Have you tried a 'Force Provision' or even a 'Forget' and 'Re-Adopt' yet to start with a fresh config?

Also wondering if your controller supports the mystery firmware is not compatible with the controller version you are using?

@d0ugmac1 I've done both, the result is the same... really strange... What I know is that when I had the other AP off, this one did once provide 5G as well... but after re-connecting the other one and rebooting everything, it disappeared...

The strange thing is that I tried to re-install the firmware from the ones I found on the website, but it gives me the error that the firmware file is not correct.

Ok, if you temporarily power-off the working AP, can you 'see' 5.8G signal from the dysfunctional unit?  If yes, it's a controller software issue, if no, it's an AP firmware issue, possibly as it interacts with the Controller.

If you default/reset the dysfunctional AP, and then set it up in Standalone mode, does it work on both 2.4 and 5.8?
