Knowledge Base Unraveling the Mystery: Understanding the Occasional Invisibility of the Disable MSP Mode Option
This Article Applies to: Omada Software Controller v5.12 or above
Background
The Managed Service Provider (MSP) Mode is a new feature added from Omada Controller v5.12, it allows you to monitor the overall status of your customers and manage customers within the Omada platform. In MSP mode, you could auto-back up the settings of all sites under one customer account.
To use this mode, you need to enable it first in Global View > ⋮ icon in the top-right corner > Enable MSP mode.
You can also disable it from the same location. However, there may be instances when you find that the 'Disable MSP mode' option has disappeared, and it will reappear after you log out and log back in.
Solution
The reason for this phenomenon is that after enabling MSP Mode, when you log out and log back in, you will automatically enter the MSP View. The "Disable MSP mode" option is only visible within the MSP View window.
However, if you are in the Omada Controller Global View or Site window, you won't see it. Please refer to the images below for clarification:

Kind Note:
The Omada Hardware Controller doesn't support MSP Mode due to hardware limitations. Currently, only the Omada Software Controller supports it.
